Ideas!
Writer’s Guidelines
Purpose
- Provide
information, advice and insights to improve the performance
of a business or
a specific business function,
and/or;
- Encourage those reading the articles to find
out more about the topic and its impact on their business
by recommending
accessible resources.
Content
- Each article should clearly
identify a challenge or opportunity typically faced by
small and medium sized business owners
and/or managers
- It should provide practical, easy-to-implement
recommendations for responding to the challenge or taking
advantage of
the opportunity
- It should contain links/pointers to Greater
KW-specific resources, information, or examples
- It should
be no longer than 500–750 words
- Examples of topics
include: financing, tax issues, staffing, productivity,
exporting, marketing, etc.
Format
Bright Ideas will appear on our website with
a quick link from the homepage. Each month we will distribute
an email
notification to our Chamber of Commerce members who
have subscribed. The email will contain a brief summary
of
the current Bright Ideas and a link back to the Chamber’s
website.
Past Bright Ideas will be available in our online archive,
which is searchable on our website
Submissions
Please contact the Chamber if you have a Bright Idea. We
will ask you for a brief outline of your article idea,
particularly with regard to points 1-3 outlined under "content" above.
Editorial Disclaimer: Submissions will be read and possibly
edited for content, spelling, grammar and length. Wherever
extensive editing is deemed warranted by the Chamber, the
article will be returned to the writer for approval. We
guarantee all ideas will be considered, however, we cannot
promise to publish every article submitted.
